The third of these conferences, held in February 1982 in Bombay, India, under the title East and West: Ancient Wisdom and Modern Science, represented a culmination of the above efforts. It brought together prominent representatives of science and of the great spiritual traditions to explore, in an open dialogue, the rapidly increasing convergence between the ancient teachings and modern science and between Eastern thought and Western pragmatism.
